Saint Paul, MN - Representative Jon Koznick (R- Lakeville) was appointed to serve as the next Republican Chair of the Transportation Finance and Policy Committee. Representative Koznick was re-elected to a sixth term earlier this month and welcomes the opportunity to help focus transportation dollars on improving both the modes and methods that Minnesotans use and rely on most.
Representative Koznick is a past Vice Chair of the Transportation Committee and has served on the committee for six years. He is also on the board of the Transportation Policy and Economic Competitiveness board through the University of Minnesota.
Koznick's priorities include working to optimize the spending of transportation dollars to make life easier for Minnesotans across the core cities and suburban areas as well as small cities and towns across the state to drive commerce and allow folks to get where they want to go with ease.
"I'm honored to have been tasked to chair the Transportation Finance and Policy Committee. Minnesotans rely on our state's transportation systems and I'm ready to work to make our transportation spending more efficient and purposeful. We will pass both bipartisan reforms and ideas that optimize our systems, are good for commerce, and help people get to where they need to be by focusing precious funds and limiting waste."
