ST. PAUL, Minn. – State Representatives Tim Miller (R-Prinsburg) and Dave Baker (R-Willmar) invite parents and child care providers to attend a listening session from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 24 at the Kandiyohi County Historical Society in Willmar, 610 NE Highway 71, to discuss the challenges of accessing child care in Greater Minnesota.
Rep. Mary Franson (R-Alexandria) chairs the newly formed Select Committee on Affordable Childcare and will be at the meeting.
With Minnesota having lost more than 3,000 child care providers in the last decade, the lawmakers want to ensure that access to affordable, quality childcare is occurring in Greater Minnesota, and they encourage parents and providers to attend the meeting to share their experiences, questions, and concerns.
