Dear neighbors,
One of my top legislative priorities is to ensure that every child gets off to a great start in life. Given time, every other problem that we face can be solved if we get this one right. I’ve spent the summer and fall meeting with policy experts and advocates to begin to craft a “prenatal to age three” agenda – everything from comprehensive prenatal care to high-quality opportunities for early development. You can read more in my year-end report.
I am inviting you to join me for my first ‘Community Conversation’ titled ‘Wellness for our Youngest Minnesotans’. I’ve invited Angela Watts to lead a group discussion on the topic. Angela is an expert on early childhood issues who is helping to develop a broad ‘Cradle-to-K’ agenda in the city of Minneapolis. Please see the details below and on the attached flyer, and join us on February 4, 2016.
