Dear Neighbors,
Last week on Thursday, I joined a peaceful group of residents in St. Louis Park to mourn the loss of our neighbor George Floyd. We saw a failure in humanity on Monday, May 26 when George Floyd was murdered, and that failure of humanity calls us all to act. We raise our voices against the injustice rooted in our systems. Systems that we will continue to fight to change.
We will emerge to rebuild and create the change that is so desperately needed. Today, the People of Color and Indigenous (POCI) Caucus announced legislation they intend to advance during the upcoming special session. I attended the press conference my colleagues held on their multifaceted proposal, which I fully support. You can read about it here.
