St. Paul, Minn. — Today, on the opening day of the legislative session, Rep. Cheryl Youakim (DFL – Hopkins) took the oath of office to represent District 46B for a fourth term in the Minnesota House of Representatives.
“I am thrilled to continue my service to our communities of Hopkins and St. Louis Park, as well as our great state of Minnesota,” said Rep. Youakim. “Although we’re leaving 2020 behind, many tough challenges remain ahead of us. I’m ready to hit the ground running to continue the work for our residents and families.”
Late last month, Rep. Youakim was appointed to chair the House Property and Local Tax Division. She will also serve on the following House committees: Education Finance; Taxes; and the Local Government Division.
“Input from our communities is so very important to me,” continued Rep. Youakim. “That’s why I’ll be hosting a series of virtual Community Conversations to gain input from community members.” The dates of the conversations are listed below:

Tuesday, January 26 – 6:30-8 pm
Tuesday, February 9 – 6:30-8 pm
Saturday, February 20 – 10:30 am- Noon
Tuesday, March 9 – 6:30-8 pm
Saturday, March 13 – 10:30 am- Noon
