SAINT PAUL, MN – Today, on the opening day of the 2017 Legislative Session, Jamie Becker-Finn (DFL – Roseville) took the oath of office to represent District 42B in the Minnesota House of Representatives. Becker-Finn now represents Little Canada, Vadnais Heights, Gem Lake and parts of the cities of Roseville and Shoreview. Rep. Becker-Finn assumes office from former Rep. Jason Isaacson who won a seat in the Minnesota Senate.
“Representing our community at the State Capitol is a tremendous privilege,” remarked Rep. Becker-Finn. “The trust that my constituents have placed in me to be their voice on the issues that matter is a responsibility I won’t take lightly.”
“I’m ready to get to work for the people of our district,” Rep. Becker-Finn said. “The first bill I plan to introduce will be for the Rice Street / 694 interchange. Common sense solutions to the problems we face—such as infrastructure, health care, and education—are what the people of our district can expect from me. It’s time for us to come together and do what’s best for Minnesotans and that’s I intend to do.”
Before session, Rep. Becker-Finn was appointed to the following House committees: Environment & Natural Resources Policy and Finance, Public Safety & Security Policy and Finance, and the Veterans Affairs Divison.
Rep. Becker-Finn encourages constituents to reach out to her about any issue. She can be reached by email at rep.jamie.becker-finn@house.mn or by phone at 651-296-7153. She encourages constituents to sign up for periodic email updates at her House website, located at www.house.mn/42b
