Greetings from the Capitol!
I had the pleasure of visiting with many constituents this week and hearing their thoughts on issues important to them:
Lake City Public Utilities
Red Wing City Officials: Marshall Hallock, Finance Director and Ron Seymour, Financial Analyst
Credit Union Day at the Capitol: Anna Olson
Firefighter Day at Capitol: Michael Dobkins, Peter Hanlin and Trent Wentlend
Humane Society: Paula Johnson of Red Wing and Deb Fjetland of Welch
Matthew Harfmann from Kasson-Mantorville High School shadowed me. He is with the Family, Career and Community Leaders of America (FCCLA). FCCLA is a career and technical student organization.
MN Milk Producers Day at Capitol: Dave and Anne Buck
Health Insurance Update and Clarification:
Since the passage of Senate File 1 last week, there have been some developments worth sharing:
Tax Reciprocity:
This week I co-authored a bill (House File 183) that allows for a refundable income tax credit for Minnesotans who work in Wisconsin during years an income tax reciprocity agreement is not reached. Those who live in our community and work in Wisconsin should not be financially burdened for doing so.
