ST. PAUL – Today, the Minnesota House of Representatives approved HF 2900, giving at least 667,000 frontline workers up to $1,500 in bonus pay for their role in helping protect Minnesotans during the COVID-19 pandemic, with a vote of 71-61.
Rep. Erin Koegel (DFL – Spring Lake Park) voted for the legislation and issued the following statement:
“We have seen expenses like child care, housing, and health care challenge many working families throughout the pandemic. That’s why we at the House DFL want to reduce these costs and provide our frontline workers with $1,500 bonus checks. We have asked so much from our frontline heroes, and with our historic budget surplus, we must put working families first”
