St. Paul, MN - Today, House Speaker Melissa Hortman announced the reappointment of Rep. Fue Lee (DFL – Minneapolis) as chair of the House Capital Investment Committee for the upcoming legislative session. The committee is charged with developing legislation investing in public infrastructure improvements across the state.
“More than ever, our state needs a robust capital investment bill to deliver on the infrastructure needs Minnesotans deserve,” said Rep. Lee. “I want to thank Speaker Hortman for allowing me to build on our work from the past biennium, which brought in voices and communities too often left behind when it comes to capital investment. I believe that in working together, our committee can lift up communities across the state, create good-paying job opportunities, and keep a focus on equity and inclusion.”
Rep. Lee served as the chair of the Capital Investment committee for the 2020-2022 biennium, and vice chair for the previous biennium. The 2023 Legislative Session begins on January 3.
