Dear Neighbors, Thank you for the incredible honor of representing our community in the Minnesota House. It’s been a busy, snowy week, but we are hitting the ground running at the State Capitol. Minnesotans made their voices loud and clear last November - and in doing so delivered a House, Senate, and Governorship under DFL control. As we took the oath of office on Tuesday, I looked around at the most diverse Minnesota House of Representatives we’ve ever had, and I saw the faces and felt the energy of a group of people who are ready to build a better Minnesota for my son and children across the state where they can grow and thrive. |
The first day of session had the added bonus of treats from Governor Walz! |
Priorities to Move Minnesota ForwardNow is the time for bold action. Though our state is currently experiencing a historic economic surplus, many in our community and throughout Minnesota are struggling. In a united effort, this week House and Senate leadership unveiled our coordinated priorities to move Minnesota forward. |
This is just a small preview of the work we’ll be taking on. In my continued role as Chair of the House Capital Investment Committee, I’ll be largely focused on finishing the work we started last year in crafting a bill that delivers infrastructure investments and jobs throughout our state - especially to the communities and peoples too often left behind when it comes to state investment. In addition, I’ll also be serving on the Environment and Natural Resources committee, and the Legacy committee. You can watch House and Senate leadership discuss our shared priorities here.
Stay ConnectedThings are already moving fast at the Minnesota Legislature, and I want to make sure you have the tools and resources available to you to stay in the loop. For broader legislative information, you can access the Minnesota House of Representatives Public Information Services for nonpartisan recaps of high-profile bills, committee hearings, and floor sessions with their Session Daily publication. For any questions or comments you have on my work, please feel free to reach out at rep.fue.lee@house.mn.gov or 651-296-4262, and my staff and I will be happy to help. Also, I’ll begin sending out these weekly updates again - if you haven’t subscribed or know of anyone who may be interested, that can be done here. I look forward to hearing from you! Sincerely,
Fue Lee State Representative |
