Minnesota House Capital Investment Committee Completes Southeast Regional Tour
St. Paul, MN - Yesterday, the House Capital Investment Committee completed its fourth regional tour of the fall, covering communities throughout Southeastern Minnesota. Over two days, the committee stopped at sites and heard presentations on projects for proposed state investment, vying for inclusion in the 2024 Capital Investment bill next session.
“We’re nearly through our statewide capital investment tour, and it’s evident the need for investment is vast,” said Rep. Fue Lee (DFL-Minneapolis), the committee’s chair. “I’ve appreciated connecting with local leaders to hear directly about what the impacts of these projects could mean for the health, safety, and general well-being of their communities. The House DFL Majority is committed to improving the lives of everyone, no matter where you live, or what your zip code is. We’re leading to make Minnesota a better place for all.”
This week’s tour brought the committee to Eagan, Apple Valley, Dundas, Faribault, Waseca, Albert Lea, Austin, Rochester, Lewiston, Winona, Altura, Zumbrota, and South Saint Paul. Specifics on the stops and presentations can be found here.
