Laurie Pryor officially starts a new job on Jan. 3 after she’s sworn in as House District 48A’s next representative.
“I’m really excited,” she said during a recent interview. “I think we have a great opportunity to keep moving Minnesota forward and I’m glad I’m going to be able to focus on education ... Our educated workforce is our greatest resource and I’m going to be a part of that.”
Pryor, a 27-year Minnetonka resident, is replacing outgoing Rep. Yvonne Selcer, who chose not to seek re-election this year. While state representative is the first public office she will serve in, her political interests stem from when her mother served as a school board member in Austin, Minn.
