Energy Efficiency
I recently had the opportunity to visit with The Weidt Group, an energy consulting firm in Minnetonka. They specialize in helping businesses optimize their return on investment for energy efficiency. I appreciated the chance to talk with them about energy policy in Minnesota and possible legislation in this session.
New Laws
On January 1st, several laws passed during the 2018 legislative session will take effect. One of these is a major expansion of our first responders' ability to get help after a post-traumatic stress disorder diagnosis. Other laws touch on consumer protection, municipal waste collection, and notaries public. Here is the full list.
The next legislative session, which starts on January 8, is right around the corner. I'm looking forward to the important work ahead and the opportunity we have to deliver a brighter future for all Minnesotans. As we start this work, I hope you’ll stay in touch with me, as your input is invaluable. Please don’t hesitate to call or email anytime. It’s an honor to be your State Representative.
Until then, I wish you a happy holiday season with family and friends and a safe and joyous new year. Season’s Greetings!
Laurie Pryor
State Representative
