Saint Paul, Minn. – The 2022 Legislative Session convened at noon today. The session will focus on assisting those most impacted by the pandemic and how they can be helped by the state’s historic $7.7 billion surplus. State Representative Laurie Pryor (DFL-Minnetonka) released the following statement:
“Every legislative session is a new opportunity to help our neighbors succeed and our state to improve. This session, we will continue to help Minnesotans impacted by COVID-19, efforts that began many months ago.
“As vice-chair of the Early Childhood Committee, I will be focused on making significant investments in early care and learning. House DFLers unveiled our plan last week, which includes proposals to help parents to work, employers to expand and children to thrive.
“We have the best opportunity in a generation to make a real difference in the lives of our youngest Minnesotans and I look forward to working toward that goal during the next few months.”
