St. Paul – State Representative Nolan West (R-Blaine) began his first term in office Tuesday, as he was sworn in as a member of the Minnesota House of Representatives in a ceremony at the State Capitol in St. Paul.
“Becoming a state representative is an unbelievable experience,” West said. “It is an honor to serve the people of Blaine in the Minnesota House, and I look forward to representing their interests at the State Capitol.”
The top priority for West and all Minnesota lawmakers this session will be crafting the state budget for the next two years. In addition there will also be many policy issues for the legislature to address before lawmakers adjourn in mid-May.
