Dear Friends,
Starting around 8AM this morning, Blaine residents began experiencing water outages. I have been in contact with city officials who reported that as of 10AM, water was beginning to once again flow and that the city is working to connect with neighboring city water lines to ensure continued service. Residents are being asked to limit water use as the city continues to fill water towers and bring service back online.

Additionally, Anoka-Hennepin Schools have announced that several schools will be closed tomorrow, Monday, January 9th, for water testing related to the outage. The list as of 3:30PM on the Anoka-Hennepin School District website includes: Jefferson Elementary, Johnsville Elementary, Madison Elementary, University Avenue Elementary, Roosevelt Middle School, and Blaine High School.
The closings include evening activities and Adventures Plus before and after school care. Classes will resume on Tuesday, January 10th. Additional closings may be announced, so please visit www.ahschools.us to learn more.
