SAINT PAUL, Minn. – Tonight, Minnesota Governor Tim Walz delivered his 2020 State of the State address. Due to his “Stay at Home” order as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, he delivered the message via video from the Governor’s Residence.
Rep. Dave Lislegard (DFL – Aurora) issued the following statement:
“I thank Governor Walz for showing Minnesotans the leadership they deserve right now. While he’s made some unquestionably tough choices, he’s done everything he can to help folks navigate this crisis, for which there is no easy path. The economic pain right now is real, and too many Minnesotans don’t know how they will pay bills or put food on the table. On top of an already unprecedented underlying public health pandemic, we don’t know how long this impact will last. There’s a lot left for us to do, and it will take Minnesotans continuing to work together. I’m committed to working with Governor Walz, other legislators, and members of our local Iron Range communities to develop the solutions equipping us to get past this crisis.”
