SAINT PAUL – Today at noon, the Minnesota Legislature convened in special session. State Rep. Dave Lislegard (DFL – Aurora) issued the following statement:
“Minnesotans are counting on and expect us to work together to find a compromise on a number of critical issues affecting our health and economic wellbeing. An all or nothing approach during such a tumultuous time is wrong, and will only further divide us. If we all commit to putting people before politics, there’s no reason we can’t make bipartisan accomplishments that are important to all Minnesotans like a strong, robust bonding bill that will create jobs, bringing economic support for families, businesses and communities, and criminal justice reform that makes sense and brings about meaningful changes in a way that ensures all citizens are treated with dignity while supporting our law enforcement.”
