SAINT PAUL, Minn. – Tonight, the Minnesota House of Representatives approved HF 4, known as the “Driver’s Licenses for All” bill. Rep. Dave Lislegard (DFL – Aurora) issued the following statement:
“This bill is the product of a broad coalition of supporters. When the Minnesota State Chamber of Commerce, Minnesota Police and Peace Offers Association, St. Louis County Sheriff Gordon Ramsay, our agriculture industry, labor unions, people of faith, and many others who recognize the benefits to having all drivers be properly licensed and insured, it makes voting yes very easy. Licensed drivers are safe drivers, and safe drivers means safe roads. Driver’s Licenses for All is good for our economy, good for our communities, and good for all drivers throughout the state, not just those who will be eligible under this bill.”
