ST. PAUL – Several area legislators said they will continue working to represent the citizens of Central Minnesota as the state combats the current COVID-19 outbreak.
Republican Sens. Jeff Howe, Rockville, and Jerry Relph, St. Cloud, along with Republican Reps. Tim O’Driscoll, Sartell, Tama Theis, St. Cloud and Lisa Demuth, Cold Spring indicated they are available as resources for citizens and welcome input from constituents as the state addresses this pressing public health issue.
The area legislators said they urge people to take advantage of Minnesota Department of Health hotlines, including a public line (651) 201-3920 and a line for questions specifically related to schools and/or childcare (651) 297-1304. Several online resources also are available to help individuals stay up to date:
At the local level, call CentraCare at (320) 200-3200 to speak to a nurse 24 hours a day, seven days a week. CentraCare also offers curbside service with an appointment. Benton and Stearns counties also are partnering on a COVID-19 hotline, available 8:30-4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday at (877) 782-5683.
