ST. PAUL – State Rep. Lisa Demuth, R-Cold Spring, encourages area voters who reside in mail-only voting precincts to make sure they complete and return their ballot or vote in person at their local county election office.
For Demuth’s District 13A, the impacted townships include Collegeville (Precinct 1), Luxemburg, Munson, Wakefield and Zion – and the city of Roscoe.
“The changes adopted for this election year have caused some uncertainty among people I have spoken with and I want to make sure people in the impacted areas are up to speed on the new process,” Demuth said. “Whether you are a Republican, Democrat or Independent, it is important to exercise your voting rights and I don’t want people in our area to miss out.”
Residents that live in vote-by-mail only precincts have the option of voting in person at their county election office through Election Day, Nov. 3. The Stearns County Auditor indicates voters from mail-in precincts who wish to vote in person – and new county voters who need to register – may do so at the Stearns County Courthouse or online.
