Legislative update

Merry Christmas

Dear Neighbor,

Before we get to legislative news, I want to wish you and your family a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

Be sure to keep in your prayers the members of our armed forces who may not be able to be home for the holidays. Let’s also thank the local police/fire/EMTs who will be working to keep us safe as we celebrate.

Please remember the holiday season can be a difficult time for many people who feel an extra strain in a number of ways, and do what you can to help. This could include anything from making charitable donations to shoveling for someone who may not be able to handle that task (whenever we get snow again). This also is a good time to check in with friends and family who may appreciate a quick call/message during the holidays. Those simple gestures can really brighten someone’s day.

As for the latest from the House, the Legislature is busy preparing for the 2021 session to begin Jan. 5. This includes putting together new committee rosters and drafting bills. Look for more news on these and other subjects soon as we convene the new session.

I look forward to working on bipartisan solutions to help the people of Greater Minnesota and am honored for the opportunity to continue representing the people of our area.

As always, your input is welcome, and you can reach me by emailing rep.lisa.demuth@house.mn or by calling (651) 296-4373.

Sincerely,

Lisa
