ST. PAUL – State Rep. Lisa Demuth, R-Cold Spring, issued the following statement Monday in response to a declaration that all United States and Minnesota flags will be flown at half-staff at all state buildings in Minnesota, from sunrise until sunset on Tuesday, in honor and remembrance of Captain Andy Loso, a St. Joseph Volunteer Fire Department volunteer who recently died due to a medical illness obtained during nearly 20 years of service:
“My most sincere condolences to the family, friends and co-workers of Captain Andy Loso,” Demuth said. “I am forever grateful for the sacrifices he made to serve people in the St. Joseph area and keep us safe. While we can never fully repay this debt of gratitude, I thank Captain Loso for his service to St. Joseph-area residents and pray for his family and others to whom he was close. Flying flags at half-staff statewide will be a well-deserved tribute to Captain Loso and his legacy.”
