St. Paul, MN - Tonight, Governor Tim Walz delivered his State of the State Address from the Governor’s Residence as Minnesotans “Stay at Home” due to the COVID-19 pandemic. In his speech, Governor Walz spoke to the tough days ahead, but also highlighted the resilience, courage, and optimism of Minnesotans. State Representative Dan Wolgamott (DFL - St. Cloud) released the following statement:
“Tonight, Governor Walz encapsulated what it is to be an effective leader during tough times, and showed that Minnesotans have the grit and determination to come together and get through this. Things aren’t easy right now, but Minnesotans are smart, strong, and care for their neighbors. That’s why we’re able to face these challenges and soldier on. It can be hard to see the forest through the trees, but with the leadership of Governor Walz, the work of my colleagues and I in the Legislature, and the strength of Minnesotans, I know we’re going to come out on the other side stronger and more connected than ever.”
