St. Paul, MN - Today, Governor Tim Walz released his biennial budget proposal, Minnesota’s COVID-19 Recovery Budget. The focus of Gov. Walz’s proposal is on supporting working families, ensuring students catch up on learning, and supporting small businesses and driving economic recovery. State Representative Dan Wolgamott (DFL - St. Cloud) released the following statement on the budget proposal:
“Governor Walz and I want big corporations and the wealthiest Minnesotans to pay their fair share so our students, families, and small businesses are able to make it out of this pandemic. We can’t cut our way out of this budget challenge. To ensure a bright future for all Minnesotans as our state recovers from COVID-19, we need a balanced approach to make strategic investments in education, health care, and our economy while balancing the budget.”
