St. Paul, MN - Yesterday, State Representative Dan Wolgamott (DFL - St. Cloud) was recognized as a Legislator of Distinction in the area of Economic Development by the Coalition of Greater Minnesota Cities, citing the legislator’s work on funding ??Business Development Public Infrastructure (BDPI) Grants.
“This award is the direct result of my work with the Greater St. Cloud Development Corporation to support local businesses and help them recover from the pandemic,” Rep. Wolgamott said. “I want to thank the Coalition of Greater Minnesota Cities for this incredible honor. I am eager to build off this success and continue my work delivering for the economic needs of Greater Minnesota.”
This year, Rep. Wolgamott was the chief author of successful legislation that invests $3.5 million in the BDPI grant program, which helps cities in Greater Minnesota with the cost of public infrastructure necessary to expand economic growth, retain or create jobs, or increase the local tax base. Eligible projects for these grants include manufacturing, technology, warehousing and distribution, research and development, agriculture processing, and industrial parks.
