St. Paul, MN - Today, the 2022 Legislative Session began. State Representative Dan Wolgamott (DFL - St. Cloud) who serves as an Assistant Majority Leader in the Minnesota House, released the following statement:
“With the 2022 Legislative Session underway, I’m returning to my work in St. Paul to ensure that the people of St. Cloud are able to take part in Minnesota’s economic recovery. The COVID-19 pandemic continues to impact our lives, and many in our community are still struggling in a time of uncertainty. I’m committed to working with you to deliver economic security for working families, support for our students, and access to opportunities and affordable healthcare.
“All of our work in the Minnesotan House is important, but at the forefront of my mind at the onset of session is the safety and security of our community and state. All Minnesotans deserve to feel safe, no matter what they look like or where they live, which is why I’m supporting a $100 million investment in public safety. The rest of our legislative efforts won’t make much of a difference unless our communities are safe, and I’m confident that’s a goal we can meet when working together.”
