St. Paul, MN - Today, the Minnesota House of Representatives will become constitutionally organized thanks to a bipartisan power-sharing agreement reached by the DFL and GOP caucuses.
State Representative Dan Wolgamott (DFL - St. Cloud) released the following statement:
“I’m grateful my DFL colleagues and I have secured a compromise that accomplishes what we’ve been asking for all along: a bipartisan power-sharing agreement that reflects and protects the will of the voters. Now is the time to come together so that St. Cloud and Minnesota can benefit from a productive legislative session.”
Specifics on the power-sharing agreement, which include seating DFL Rep. Brad Tabke of Shakopee, and co-committee chairs and balanced committee membership in the likely event of a tied House, can be found here. Under this agreement, Rep. Wolgamott becomes the DFL Co-Chair of the House Higher Education Committee.
