St. Paul, MN - This evening, Governor Tim Walz delivered the State of the State Address from the Governor’s Residence as Minnesotans continue to adhere to the “Stay at Home” order as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic. In his address, Governor Walz highlighted the difficulties our state will continue to face while also emphasizing the strength and determination of Minnesotans. State Representative Jeff Brand (DFL - St. Peter) released the following statement:
“The COVID-19 pandemic has drastically altered the life of every single Minnesotan, but through it all we remain One Minnesota. The steadfast leadership of Governor Walz and his administration, along with our work in the Minnesota Legislature, continues to deliver the resources and clarity that our state deserves. These are tough times, and the coming days likely won’t be any easier, but it’s through these struggles that our community, though physically separated, comes together. Minnesotans are making the sacrifices necessary because we care about our neighbors, and we know that we’ll be better for it. It’s in the selfless acts of our community that I see a stronger, more united Minnesota.”
