Saint Peter, MN – On Wednesday, February 7, the House Workforce Development Committee and the Economic Development Committee will hold a joint hearing at South Central College in North Mankato. The committees will discuss the relationship between higher education, workforce and economic development, and the economic impact of childcare in Minnesota.
Representative Jeff Brand (DFL-St. Peter) is looking forward to hosting the meeting in his district. “We ought to be proud that our region has some of the lowest unemployment rates in the country,” said Rep. Brand. ”By investing in critical resources like childcare, we can encourage an even more robust workforce to help our community be the best to work in and raise a family.”
