ST. PAUL, MN – Rep. Kristin Robbins (R-Maple Grove) was honored to receive the 2024 Champion of Small Cities Award from the Minnesota Association of Small Cities in recognition of her work advocating for Minnesota’s small communities. The award was presented during the organization’s Day on the Hill at the Capitol on Thursday.
“I am incredibly honored to receive this award and to represent the wonderful small cities of Greenfield, Independence, Loretto, and Maple Plain,” said Robbins. “Small cities are the heart of Minnesota, and I remain committed to ensuring they are not overlooked when it comes to policy and funding decisions at the Capitol.”
The Champion of Small Cities Award recognizes legislators who have demonstrated a strong commitment to supporting communities with populations under 5,000. Robbins was notified of the award last fall and continues to work on policies that meet the unique challenges facing small cities, including infrastructure investment and support for local law enforcement, fire departments and EMS services.
