Dear Neighbors,
I am writing today to let you know tomorrow, April 16 at 8:00 a.m., the State Government Finance Division, of which I’m the vice chair, will meet remotely to discuss elections-related legislation which transfers and appropriates funds made available by the Help America Vote Act (HAVA). With elections around the corner, we must ensure the process is efficient and protected for Minnesotans. Minnesota Secretary of State Steve Simon will provide testimony in support of the legislation.
Chair Nelson will kick off the meeting and then I will resume the gavel to moderate as we work together to discuss this important legislation for our state. The full agenda can be found on the committee’s website.
