Dear Neighbors,
I’d like to extend a warm thank you for allowing me to keep our good work going together for another term. As always, I promise to represent everybody in our community and will continue to lead with civility and an open-minded attitude.
As things currently stand, it’s looking like Minnesota could once again be the only divided state legislature in the country. It’s still too early to make an official call on the Minnesota Senate, however, I remain optimistic about what we can accomplish and how we do that together amid the COVID-19 crisis with confirmed cases on the rise. Please feel free to share your thoughts with me about what you'd like prioritized.
Minnesota Passes Largest Bonding Bill in State History
After over a year of work, several rounds of negotiations, the House and Senate found compromise in delivering a robust jobs and local projects bill in mid-October. This was truly a bipartisan effort that propelled the final legislation across the finish line and to Governor Walz’s desk for signature. I’m pleased to share I was able to secure $5 million in funding for the Plymouth Creek Center’s renovation and expansion. Local and state officials broke ground at the site almost immediately upon it becoming law.
