Here’s a quick update from the Capitol:
Additional Economic Relief for Families & Small Businesses is on the Way
Yesterday, Governor Walz announced a COVID-19 economic relief package to keep businesses afloat, support workers, and help families keep food on the table. DFL and GOP legislative leaders also announced slight differences in their relief packages, which you can review here.
I look forward to working with the governor and my House and Senate colleagues on both sides of the aisle to deliver this much-needed aid. While state and local governments, including Hennepin County, are doing what they can to help businesses and families make ends meet, it’s clear we need federal assistance as soon as possible. In the meantime, Hennepin County is offering small business relief grants to restaurants, bars, gyms and event/entertainment venues that have suffered economic hardship due to the pandemic. Applications are due by noon Tuesday, Dec. 1. Apply today: https://bit.ly/39mlnHl
