St. Paul, Minn. – Rep. Ginny Klevorn (DFL-Plymouth) has been appointed by Speaker Melissa Hortman to the House and Senate Higher Education Conference Committee. Five appointed members of the House and five members of the Senate will work over the course of the next few weeks to find a compromise on a final bill to bring to each respective chamber for a final vote.
“We can help ensure quick economic recovery by making critical investments in our higher education system and students now,” said Rep. Klevorn. “I’m looking forward to contributing my mediator skills to this conference committee process so we can get the best results for Minnesota students and families.”
Conference Committees are expected to begin meeting as soon as this week.
