SAINT PAUL, Minn. – Today, the House Redistricting committee held a virtual committee meeting to review a new redistricting proposal for congressional legislative district maps. These proposed redistricting lines can be found here. No official action was taken at today’s meeting.
“Just like last week, I believe our committee has drawn fair redistricting lines” said Chair Mary Murphy (DFL-Hermantown). “These are the people’s maps and are a result of the public testimony we received from Minnesotans this fall.”
“Today’s meeting demonstrates the House Redistricting Committee’s commitment to listening to Minnesotans and using their input to guide our work in drawing congressional maps,” said Vice Chair Ginny Klevorn (DFL-Plymouth). “Working together, we can get this done for Minnesota.”
The committee will hear public testimony on the redistricting proposals on December 1 and 2 and interested individuals can submit written testimony to Nancy Conley at Nancy.conley@house.mn
