SAINT PAUL, Minn. – Rep. Patty Acomb (DFL – Minnetonka) has been appointed to the Commerce and Energy Conference Committee. House and Senate legislators who serve on this joint committee will work to reach consensus and craft a final bill to send back to each chamber for a vote.
“We must take urgent action on climate change and stop those trying to take advantage of Minnesotans in order to build a strong and equitable economy,” said Rep. Acomb, Chair of the Minnesota House Climate Action Caucus. “I am confident we can find a strong compromise that invests in clean energy, creates new jobs, and protects Minnesotans’ economic security.”
Conference committees are expected to begin meeting as soon as this week.
