Rep. Patty Acomb’s Statement on Passage of State Bonding Bills

SAINT PAUL, Minn. – Today, the Minnesota House of Representatives passed H.F. 669 and H.F. 670, two bills related to capital investment. The bills, authored by Representative Fue Lee (DFL – Minneapolis), passed on votes of 91-43 and 98-36 respectively, and were both products of the bipartisan framework agreement reached at the end of the 2022 Legislative Session.

Representative Patty Acomb (DFL – Minnetonka) voted for the package, which includes $1.635 million to build a new off-street trail along Hopkins Crossroad (CSAH 73) in Minnetonka, and $725,000 for a public space—including a dog park, amphitheater, play area, and plaza—next to the Southwest LRT Opus station.

“The parks and trails projects in this bill will make our community of Minnetonka a better place to live and raise a family,” said Rep. Acomb. “I was proud to work with the city of Minnetonka to introduce these bills and I am thrilled that they were included in the bonding bill. I am looking forward to enjoying these public spaces once they are completed!”

Representative Acomb originally introduced the two Minnetonka projects included in the bonding bill as H.F. 1756 and H.F. 1758.
