As science demonstrates, we are experiencing some of the extreme weather that accompanies climate change and it’s imperative we all come together to make changes now if we want to prevent irreversible damage.
One thing that Mr. Douglas shared, who identifies himself as a ‘moderate conservative’, is that we need to acknowledge the evidence behind the changing climate patterns to find a path forward. As Minnesotans sharing one environment, we’re all in this together. Our children and grandchildren deserve the same opportunities we’ve had to enjoy our waters, lands, and parks, and everything else that makes Minnesota an amazing place to live. If you missed the event, you can find the materials from the panel here.
Despite challenges under a divided legislature, I’m pleased to share the House has formed a new Climate Action Caucus. All legislators from all backgrounds are invited to join. This group, of which I’m a proud member, will work together and with Minnesotans on a comprehensive plan to fight climate change and create a clean future where we all thrive.
Please don’t hesitate to contact me with questions or feedback anytime.
It’s an honor to represent you at the Capitol.
Sincerely,
Heather Edelson
