Dear Neighbors, The bulk of the legislative work last week took place in committees as we unveiled our two-year state budget proposals. Each finance committee in the House and Senate presented their respective budget bills to committee members, and have spent the week hearing testimony, amending the legislation, and voting the bills out of committee. $50 Million in Emergency Rental AssistanceOur bill for $50 million in long overdue emergency rental assistance has been signed into law! Thank you to Speaker of the House Melissa Hortman, Governor Tim Walz, and housing advocates from across the state who have worked for more than a year to make this happen. And we're just getting started! |

Free State Park DaysThe Minnesota Department of Natural Resources has announced the 2023 Free Park Days, with the first of four days on April 22. You can find a park near you here, and mark your calendars for this year’s free days.

Delivering for MinnesotansReproductive freedom. Universal school meals. Driver’s Licenses for All. Restore the Vote. 100% clean energy by 2040. Those are just a handful of the many wins our legislature has delivered in partnership with the people of Minnesota so far this year - and we’re just getting started. When we return from break on April 11, we’ll be coming back for our final leg of the legislative session, and I’m looking forward to all that we’ll be able to accomplish together.
