Today, Rep. Tabke’s Canterbury Park bill, HF4597, passed the House Ways & Means Committee unanimously and was sent to the House Floor. This was the bill’s last committee stop; it will now be discussed and debated on the House floor where it is expected to pass. By giving Canterbury Park flexibility in how they can handle bets during the COVID-19 pandemic, we are giving them the resources they need to survive this crisis. This bill is a significant boon for our local economy during these difficult times.
Upcoming Bills, and Bills passed by the House
This Thursday, Rep. Tabke’s bill, HF3720, which lowers the minimum age required to operate amusement rides safely, will be heard on the House floor. The House will also hear HF3494, the Transportation Omnibus Bill which Rep. Tabke co- authored. Rep. Tabke will be present to speak on both of these critical bills. Today, the Ag Finance & Ag Policy bills passed the House Floor. Rep. Tabke sits on the House Agriculture and Food Finance and Policy Division and contributed to this bill, which is designed to aid our hard working farming community.
