Shakopee, MN - With the 2023 Legislative Session having adjourned last month, Rep. Brad Tabke (DFL - Shakopee) has scheduled a series of community events to recap the new laws that have been passed, their impact on Shakopee, and the work that remains.
“The 2023 legislative session is over, and I’m proud to say we finished our work on time and with a long list of accomplishments for Shakopee and the entire state. We’re not scheduled to return to official legislative work until next year, and during the interim I’m looking forward to speaking with our community about this session’s accomplishments,” said Rep. Tabke. “We have some upcoming opportunities for us to meet as a community this summer to talk about our legislative work, including a Town Hall and a series of summer coffee hours where I hope you can join me.”
A Session Wrap-Up Town Hall will be held at the Shakopee VFW, 1201 3rd Ave East, on Wednesday, June 21, at 5:30pm. Joining Rep. Tabke at this event will be Rep. Jerry Newton (DFL - Coon Rapids), the Chair of the House Veterans and Military Affairs Committee.
In addition to the Town Hall, Rep. Tabke will hold a series of Summer Coffee Hours at Shakopee Brewhall, 124 1st Ave East, from 9-10:30am. The first of these will be on Saturday, June 17, with two more on Saturday, July 15, and Saturday, August 19.
All of these events are open to the public at no cost to attendees.
