Legislative Update: Small Business Advisory Group meeting Thursday

Hello Friends, 

Thank you to everyone that’s been coming out to our Coffee Hours and last week’s Town Hall. Our work at the Minnesota Legislature is at its best when it’s responsive to your needs, and the conversations we’ve been having about our accomplishments this year and the work that remains will help make the legislation we pass better for Shakopee. 

We have another community event coming up this week, this one having a more focused audience and issue area - Shakopee’s small businesses. Join us this Thursday for our first Small Business Advisory Group meeting. We’ll be at Mana Brewing (an awesome new addition last year to Shakopee) on June 29, starting the meeting at 4pm.

I hope you can make it! Small businesses are the backbone of our local economy, whether it’s an institution that’s been downtown for generations, or a new shop growing alongside Shakopee. They’re all crucial to the fabric of our community, and I want to make sure every business owner and worker feels adequately supported by their government.
