SAINT PAUL, Minn. – Tuesday, November 14 at 6 p.m., Rep. Brad Tabke (DFL – Shakopee) will host a Somali Community Outreach Town Hall at Rugsan Restaurant in Shakopee. Community members are invited to attend the event, featuring a conversation about issues impacting Somali Minnesotans, actions taken during the 2023 legislative session, and priorities to address at the Capitol in the future.
Rep. Mohamud Noor (DFL – Minneapolis), chair of the House Human Services Committee, and Rep. Hodan Hassan (DFL – Minneapolis), chair of the House Economic Development Committee, will attend the event to provide their perspectives and will be on hand to answer questions and listen to community input.
The event is nonpartisan and everyone is welcome to attend. The town hall is aimed at increasing inclusivity and promoting an open, respectful dialog to address the unique needs and concerns of the Somali community.
