It’s officially fall! I hope you’ve been enjoying the changing colors of the season. Be sure to check out the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources’ Fall Color Finder to track regions of the leaves colors’ peaking and when you can anticipate finding them across the state. You’re Invited: Coffee Hour this Saturday

This Saturday, September 30 at 9:00 a.m. I'll be hosting a community coffee hour at Dunn Bros in Apple Valley (15265 Galaxie Ave.) to gather input and check in about what’s on our neighbors’ minds. Everyone is welcome to attend this casual, nonpartisan event.

Congrats ISD #196 National Merit and College Board Scholars!

Kudos to the students in ISD #196 in being selected to the National Merit Scholarship Program and the College Board’s African American and Hispanic recognition programs. Our communities’ students continue to make us proud and I’m grateful to all the teachers, administrators, staff, and parents for serving as positive leaders in our kids’ academic growth.

Minnesota Zoo’s Jack-o-Lantern Spectacular

The start of fall also means the return of the Minnesota Zoo’s Jack-o-Lantern Spectacular, which starts this Saturday and runs through November 4. Tickets can be purchased at the link above. It’s a fun way to celebrate the start of a new season and admire the creativity of local artists’ pumpkin carving skills from across the state. It’s also an opportunity to check out the new Treetop Trail if you haven’t had a chance to yet!
