Finding Solutions for Quicker Emergency First-Response Rates
This week, I announced a series of public meetings I’m holding across Minnesota to see how the state can help with recruitment and retention of Emergency Medical Services workers, aiming for quicker response rates in emergency situations. NBC recently reported that 57 million Americans face an EMS shortage. Nearly 1/3 of rural America is included in these statistics.
Minnesotans expect and deserve fast and reliable emergency services in times of crisis, so I’m looking forward to a robust conversation with current volunteer EMS workers and interested community members for potential recruitment and retention solutions.
If you or someone you know may be interested in learning more about becoming a volunteer EMS worker, I’m holding a meeting next Tuesday, December 17 at 12:00 p.m. in St. Paul. Here are the details:
- Tuesday, December 17 at 12:00 p.m. at the Metro Emergency Services Board, 2099 University Ave W # B, St Paul, MN 55104
Everyone is welcome to attend with questions and input.
Keep in Touch
Thank you for the honor of representing you at the Capitol. Please contact me anytime and don’t hesitate to let me know how I can be of assistance to you and your family.
Enjoy the remaining weeks of 2019!
Sincerely,
John
