St. Paul, MN —Today, Governor Walz announced the ‘Your Shot to Summer,’ the state’s COVID-19 vaccine incentive campaign encouraging Minnesotans to roll up their sleeves and get their COVID-19 vaccine during the next month.
The first 100,000 Minnesotans who get their first shot between May 27 and June 30 will be able to choose the reward of their preference from a wide-ranging list of options, including state parks passes, fishing licenses, and one free adult admission to the Minnesota Zoo through September 8.
Representative Huot encourages community members to get their vaccine and take advantage of the campaign.
“The vaccine is safe, effective, and gets us one step closer to returning to normal,” remarked Rep. Huot (DFL-Rosemount). “I encourage community members in our region to roll up their sleeves and take advantage of these incentives being offered.”
Beginning June 1, 2021, Minnesotans can verify their first dose and indicate their preferred vaccine reward at mn.gov/covid19/summer. The Minnesota Department of Health will provide recipients’ contact information to the Minnesota Zoo which will email information in order for Minnesotans to redeem their admission.
