Neighbors,
Now that the holidays are behind us, I hope we can start looking toward the 2020 legislative session, which begins on Tuesday, February 11.
I'm working on a number of issues, including public works projects for our community, consumer data privacy, economic inclusion, requirements and funding for sprinklers in all buildings, and protections for Census workers. Other high-priority issues for us will be creating paid family leave for all Minnesotans, enacting common sense gun legislation, promoting solutions to climate change, and legalizing cannabis for adult use.
What do you think our priorities for the State of Minnesota should be? Come and share your thoughts or ask us questions! Sen. Kari Dziedzic and I are hosting a community conversation on Tuesday, January 14 at 6:30 at the Bordertown Coffee Shop.
