Saint Paul, Minn. – Today, House Human Services Committee Chair Rep. Mohamud Noor (DFL-Minneapolis) issued the following statement.
“Fraud in public programs is completely unacceptable. We must do everything in our power to prevent it from happening and hold bad actors accountable. I’m grateful that the FBI and Minnesota Department of Human Services have been investigating reports of fraud occurring within a program meant to help children with autism spectrum disorder. We’ll have an opportunity to learn more about this situation and discuss needed solutions when the Legislature reconvenes in January. As I’ve said before, we need to have serious conversations about putting guardrails in place for an industry that has no licensing process.”
