BURKEL SWORN IN FOR SECOND TERM, NAMED TO HOUSE COMMITTEES
ST. PAUL – Representative John Burkel, R-Badger, was sworn in Tuesday for his second term as the State Representative for House District 1A. Burkel, a farmer, was first elected in 2020 and lives in Badger with his wife Joni and their five children.
“I am honored to once again represent the people of Northwest Minnesota in the House, and bringing their voice to the Capitol,” said Burkel. “I look forward to getting to work for the people of District 1A and making their priorities heard during this legislative session. I would encourage any constituents with thoughts about the issues coming before the legislature this year to contact me.”
Burkel was also named to three House committees: Agriculture Finance and Policy, Environment and Natural Resources Finance and Policy, and Property Tax Division.
